It is not an easy task to choose the right electrical CAD for your needs. There are some considerations that need to be taken into account before making that final decision. In modern times and even in large companies, it is possible to still find that electrical documentation exists only as old fashioned traditional paper drawings. Any changes that need to be included are added by hand and that is if the electrical engineer can find any room for it on the overextended paper. Usually workers in this area are electrical engineers with a high level of qualification, usually a master’s degree in electrical engineering. When using E.3, engineers are able to layout components inside the panel enclosures, while working in two or three dimensions. While using E.3 it is very easy to allow all parts to be placed in their correct locations. Wire harness design software allows designers to create schematic drawings, to export wire data, to import geometry information and to generate lots of information for manufacturing. This can all be created within a very easy to use design tool, the basis of which is a wire list. A wire list shows the professional engineers what the wires are to be connected to and where. It is a very easy process thereafter for the technicians to check off the conductors as they are being connected. The wire list will contain each wire name, the wire model number, it’s voltage class and conductor class.
